POST CAVB Season Outing??

Like many parents/Volleyballers did last year, we're asking for potential interest in anyone that would like to go to the:

OSU vs. Michigan Lady Buckeyes Volleyball game at 7pm on Saturday, November 14th.

PLEASE let me know if you're interested in attending (your CA Volleyballer &/or parents/siblings) and we'll work on coordinating the event.

Madison Plains Make-Up Game

The game has been rescheduled for TODAY,  Monday 10/19 at Madison Plains:  800 Linson Rd. S.W., London 43140.  JV will play at 5pm and Varsity at 6pm as usual.  Transportation will be provided from school like a typical away game day. 

Tournament Game Schedule

We have attached, on the left side of this blog, for you to review or to print out, the Central District Tournament Brackets and Schedule. PLEASE NOTE, our first tournament game is scheduled on Saturday 10/24 at 2:30pm.  We do not yet know the location or who we will play as it depends on who wins the first round.  It will either be Utica High School (seeded #5)  or Cardington-Lincoln (seeded #19). It will be an away game for sure.  As soon as we know who wins that game, we will provide you with the address to their school.  For now please save the date and time.

End-of-Season Banquet

End of Season UPDATES!

CAVB Families,

We are fast approaching what has been an action packed, but fun, fall Volleyball season. Please note the following updates, as they are all important to ending our season on a positive note!

Bexley Game-Cheer Night for our Lady Vikes

As you know our last home game of the season is this coming Thursday 10/15 against our rival, Bexley.  We are promoting the game throughout the entire high school and expect a lot of fan attendance!  The girls are calling it a "Black-out", meaning that fans wear black clothing.   We are also providing some post game snacks for CA students who attend and cheer. Spread the word, come and cheer....wear black if you can.  (See FLYER on the home page in the new tab next to Pics titled CAVB vs. Bexley Flyer 10/15/15)

Our team banquet is still scheduled for Sunday 10/25 at the home of Tonia and Chris Irion (Olivia's parents).  It will either be late afternoon or early evening. Our very gracious Banquet Committee will update us next week.  Please stay tuned.

CAVB Clarifications

Families,

Below is the answer, from the Coaches, to your questions about practice and transportation to the London Game on Tuesday.  

 

"It will be a varsity practice, but if any JV players would like to come, they are welcome, but in no way obligated.  We will have a bus from campus for the London game, leaving NO LATER than 3:30pm.  Preferably they are here by 3:15 to ensure we can leave on time.

CAVB 10/8 GAME POSTPONED!!

IMMEDIATE NOTICE FROM CAVB COACH SCOTT - 10/8/2015:

The game at Madison Plains for TODAY, 10/8 (JV  and Varsity) has been postponed... no further date has been re-scheduled yet.

The Varsity has NO practice today.

Also... there is practice on Monday, 10/12 from 5-6:30.

Parent Volunteers for Football Friday Night - 10/16 Needed!

CAVB Parents:

Fall sports all chip in to help run the concession stand for home football games and our Volleyball contribution is to be for next Friday's 10/16 HOME game against Berne Union (7pm start).

We're asking for 2 additional volunteers to assist those already signed up to help run the stand... requirements are availability to be at the stand by 6pm and possibly to stay until the end of the game (usually not all parents are needed the whole time).

If you feel up to the challenge of a cool, fall football game, full of fun & high school spirit, let Lynnda Davis know ASAP.

Instead of Senior Night we are having Spirit Weeks.

Event #2 -  Middle School will Come to Cheer for High School

The Middle School teams will come out in full force to 

cheer for JV and Varsity!!!  On Tuesday 10/6 they will

support our home games.  5:00pm JV and 6:00pm Varsity.

** Come out & support your Lady Vikings & tell everybody who is available to come cheer!!

Volleyball Families - our apologies... Grandview Heights erroneously relayed the WRONG start times for Saturday's games earlier... below is the FINAL, corrected location & start times!

Please note that there has officially been a location change for this Saturday's match.  It was originally scheduled as a home game but is now:

AWAY at Grandview Heights - 1587 W. Third Ave., Columbus 43212

**** UPDATE ****  The coaches will be driving to Grandview from Columbus Academy tomorrow morning.  If your player needs a ride, please have her at school by 8:15 am.

JV starts at 10am and Varsity after, around 11am.

Come out & support our lady volleyballers... After MAJOR, back-to-back wins against Whitehall Yearling and WJ, we want to keep the streak alive!
