Place your CAVB Spirit Wear Order by September 1st at midnight.

***The 1/4 zip is the one item that would be approved for players to wear during school as the neck line qualifies as a "collar" and would be dress code permittted.  Also, each item will have a logo (not seen in pictures) to note the pride of CAVB.  All are voluntary purchases.

CAVB SCHEDULE UPDATE! 9/1 & 9/3 Games

It has come to our attention that there was an omission in the original schedule.

THERE IS A GAME ON TUESDAY, 9/1 - AWAY AT WORTHINGTON CHRISTIAN

5pm start for JV and 6pm estimated start for Varsity.  Location:

8225 Worthington-Galena Road, Westerville, OH 43081.  (note that this is NOT the location of Worthington Christian High School, rather it is at the facilities of Grace Brethren near Polaris that serve as the primary athletic facility for Worth-Christian Volleyball).

April Tibbles will do the scorebook for JV and Laura Dubenion will score Varsity.

Reminder also for Thursday, 9/3:

We are truly excited to be able to provide you with a few pieces of athletic wear to represent the 2015 VB teams/family (Middle and Upper School alike).  Please note that purchasing is strictly voluntary.  But, for those interested . . . attached is a link to order:

CAVB 2015 UPDATE! AWAY Game Addresses and Game Day Volunteer Needs

Urgent Game Day Needs:

We still need game day volunteers and would love to have some of our new moms and dads participate if possible.  PLEASE look at the current 2015 Volunteer Schedule, listed on the left side of the blog, to see open slots.  April Tibbles will have this schedule with her at the 8/19 scrimmage, so please plan to add your name into some of the slots.  If you would like to communicate directly with April via email about your availability, her email address is aprildusk@aol.com

CAVB UPDATE!

Hello CAVB Families, 

Reminders and Updates Below:

Practice: -- No Practice this coming Friday 8/14

-- Practice times vary next week 

-- Monday 8/17 and Tuesday 8/18 practice is 2:30pm - 4:00pm

-- No Practice on Thursday 8/20

-- Friday 8/21 Practice 3:30pm - 5:00pm

Scrimmage: 

We will have our first Scrimmage on Wednesday 8/19.  It is AWAY.  

The girls will ride with their Coaches, as is required by school. 

PLEASE MAKE SURE THE GIRLS HAVE THEIR TEAM UNIFORM that day!!! 

Games start at 5:00pm. As soon as we get the exact address we will publish it.  Stay tuned.

Snacks:  

We are all set to provide snack starting with the upcoming Scrimmage.  If you have not yet given your check for $95 to Nikki Smith please see her at the game.

Scorebook Training:  

Our first Scorebook Training will occur at the Scrimmage.  Look for April Tibbles once you arrive. It will be informal.  A thank you and shout out to Linda and Walt Podgurski.  She will help with training and he has agreed to run our home scoreboard for most games.  

Spirit Wear: 

Kim Lopresti is "on it"!  We will see some choices in the next few  weeks.  Not sure yet how long it will take to get our items, but she will let us know.

Photography:  

Steve Davis has agreed to take "ad-hoc" pictures of Varsity games. Thank you Mr. D!!  We would also like to make sure that JV has photo coverage.  We do not expect every game, every minute, just some nice shots when you can get them.  Anyone who wants to help just let us know.
