Calendar

Dear Families,

I have completed our team calendar using all of the information I have available at this time.  Please click on Online Team Calendar on the left hand side of the blog for information regarding practices and games.  Please use our team schedule for game times which can be accessed underneath the calendar titled Varsity Game Schedule Sheet.  During the school year, practices will be 3:30-5:00 pm, unless we have weight lifting on Wednesdays following practice which will bump the practice end time to 5:30 pm.  Weight lifting on Fridays will be right after school until 4pm.

We look forward to the start of the season, and our first game is quickly approaching!  Tryouts will be Thursday and Friday with team selections and uniform distribution at the end of practice on Friday.  Go Vikes!

There will be an open gym this Tuesday (July 30th) from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Try-outs are this Thursday and Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
See you there!

There will be no scrimmage on Friday, July 26th.
Try-outs start on Thursday, August 1st from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
See you then!

Reminders

Currently there are no more scrimmages planned at Newark Catholic, but we are on the wait list and so we will keep you posted.

July's team camp with Coach Monica McDonald from Otterbein will be on Wednesday and Thursday THIS WEEK from 4:30 - 9:00 p.m. at The Columbus Academy.  The cost will be $70 per athlete.  We ask that checks be made out to Monica McDonald.  We are also asking that girls donate $5 per day ($10 total in cash) to be used toward a team meal in between sessions.  So a $70 check made out to Monica McDonald and $10 in cash for food for both days ($80 total). 

We are keeping Friday open at this point for a possible scrimmage between GCA and CA in the morning, but we will not have a paid camp session on this day.  We will check for total attendance before scheduling, as we know some families will be headed out of town for the weekend.

Newark Catholic

Vans will leave AT 3:00 today for Newark Catholic.  Please plan to be there a little before 3 so we can be on the road at 3pm.  The scrimmage is from 4-6pm.  Thanks!

Newark Catholic Play Date

We are trying to finalize plans for our Newark Catholic playdate.  We need to know as soon as possible who will be attending (if you haven't already sent an email to a coach).  We will plan to leave at 3:00 in the school vans for Newark Catholic.  You do not need to worry about what you are wearing to the scrimmage.  If we do not have an adequate amount of players for the scrimmage, we will have an open gym at Columbus Academy.
